Saved Connections (Paid Feature)
Saved connections let you store your database host, port, username, and other details so you don't have to enter them every time you connect. This feature is available on the paid plan ($5/month).
How It Works
When you connect to a database on the paid plan, you'll see a Save this connection checkbox on the connection form. Check it to save the connection details for future use. You can also give it a label (e.g., "Production - App X") to keep things organized.
Saved connections appear on your dashboard. To reconnect, just click Connect next to the saved connection. If the password was saved, you'll connect immediately. If not, you'll be prompted to enter only the password — everything else is pre-filled.
Password Saving Is Optional
Saving the password is a separate opt-in choice. You can save a connection with just the host, port, username, and database name, and enter the password manually each time. This gives you the convenience of not re-entering everything while keeping the password out of storage.
How Credentials Are Stored
Saved connection credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is stored separately from the database. Encrypted fields include:
- Host
- Username
- Password (if saved)
- Database name
Plaintext credentials are never written to disk.
Deleting a Saved Connection
From your dashboard, click the delete button next to any saved connection to remove it. The encrypted credentials are deleted immediately. This does not affect any active sessions using that connection.
Free Tier
Saved connections are not available on the free plan. On the free tier, you enter all connection details manually each time. Upgrade from the Account page to enable saved connections.
