Terms of Service

Last updated: April 11, 2026

1. The service

DBEverywhere ("the Service") provides browser-based access to your databases through phpMyAdmin and Adminer. We act as a gateway — we connect to your database on your behalf so you can manage it from any browser without installing software locally.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.
  • One account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Free and paid plans

Free

  • Unlimited sessions
  • 1-hour session timeout
  • No saved connections

Paid — $5/month

  • Unlimited sessions
  • 8-hour session timeout
  • Saved connections with opt-in credential storage

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately — your account reverts to the free tier right away.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Access databases you are not authorized to access
  • Attempt to access internal systems, private networks, or other users' sessions
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security controls
  • Use the Service for any illegal activity
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service infrastructure

5. Your databases

You are solely responsible for your databases and any actions taken through the Service. DBEverywhere is a gateway — we do not:

  • Host, manage, or back up your databases
  • Monitor, log, or review your queries or data
  • Take responsibility for data loss, corruption, or unauthorized changes made through the Service

You should always maintain your own backups and use appropriate database credentials with the minimum required privileges.

6. Credential handling

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your database credentials pass through our server to establish a connection. By default, credentials are held in memory only for the duration of your session and wiped on expiry. If you choose to save a connection, credentials are encrypted at rest. See our Security page and Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DBEverywhere shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
