How Magic Link Login Works
DBEverywhere uses magic link login instead of passwords. You enter your email, we send you a link, and clicking it logs you in. No password to create, remember, or reset.
How to Log In
- Go to dbeverywhere.com and click Get Started or Sign In.
- Enter your email address.
- Check your inbox for an email from DBEverywhere with a sign-in link.
- Click the link. You're logged in.
That's it. There is no password field anywhere.
Link Expiration
Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes. If you don't click the link within that window, go back to the login page and request a new one. There's no limit on how many times you can request a link.
I Didn't Get the Email
If the sign-in email doesn't arrive:
- Check your spam/junk folder. This is the most common issue, especially the first time.
- Check that you entered the right email. A typo means the link went somewhere else (or nowhere).
- Wait a minute. Email delivery is usually instant but can occasionally take 30-60 seconds.
- Try again. Go back to the login page and request a new link. Previous links are invalidated when you request a new one.
If you still don't receive it after a few attempts, your email provider may be blocking the sender. Try with a different email address, or contact us at support@dbeverywhere.com.
Why No Password?
Magic links are simpler and more secure for a service like DBEverywhere:
- Nothing to remember — you can't forget a password that doesn't exist.
- Nothing to steal — there's no password database to breach.
- No reuse risk — people reuse passwords across services. Magic links eliminate that vector entirely.
Your email inbox is already the recovery mechanism for every password-based service (via "forgot password" emails). Magic links just skip the extra step.
Staying Logged In
After you click a sign-in link, your browser session stays active. You don't need to log in again every time you visit unless you explicitly log out, clear your cookies, or your session expires.
